An online spot has no shopfront. Instead of an address and a map pin it has a website, and that is where you browse, join or order. Coverage is the other thing worth reading before you click. A spot either ships nationwide, in which case anywhere in the country is fair game, or it serves a specific list of cities — Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria and so on — and those city names are printed on its card. In 2018 the Constitutional Court decriminalised the private use and cultivation of cannabis by adults in South Africa, and in 2024 the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act was signed into law.
